If you thought 2011 was an exciting year for Amy Savannah, wait until you see what 2012 has in store.
Starting production in August, Left Turn is a huge opportunity for Amy to work with some of Hollywood's best and most talented actors. Since the project is in pre-production not much can be revealed but Amy's audition for a featured role in the film back in September of 2011 has lead to her having a supporting role to Mercedes Brito and featuring an all-star cast including: Mickey Rourke (Iron Man 2), Roberto Sanchez (2 Fast 2 Furious), and Luis Guzman (The Count of Monte Cristo). Production begins on Left Turn in August.
Not only is Amy shooting her first big feature film role but also she is also starring in the upcoming and ongoing soap opera Proper Manors in April as well. She has landed a lead role in the series as Shila Hicks. The audition was competitive for the role of Shila Hicks with several callbacks and finally the last audition included the actresses being paired off to recreate scenes to see who could create not only the character as she was written but the scene in which she lives in. Proper Manors is also starting production in March with plans to debut sometime in May.
Another upcoming feature film, Red Hammett, has Amy Savannah cast in a supporting role. This is an incredible opportunity on another huge feature but not many details can be released at this time because the project is still in pre-production so check back for details as they become available.
Finally, last but not least Amy landed a lead role in a independent feature that she is currently in the middle of the production now until the end of May called Dead Fury.
And if that wasn't enough to keep a working actress busy in a twelve month period she has much more in store. She has recently been offered and auditioned for many roles in upcoming independent short films including The Death of Something which pairs Amy up with writer Jason White who wrote the short film she co-starred in titled The Last Time. She also finishes production sometime in April/May on her lead role in the independent feature film Lust of the Vampire Girls. More projects are being added all the time so make sure you check back on her IMDb link.
If that wasn't exciting enough to drive your interest in this actress see what her peers and filmmakers are saying about her work.
"As an actor it is always refreshing to work with true professionals who take their craft seriously. Amy is such an actress and the times I have worked with her have always been at a higher level and a rewarding experience. I have recommended her to my agent and I recommend her for any project." - David Nilson, co-star of Lust of the Vampire Girls
"Amy is a multi talented and wonderfully gifted actress. She lives and breathes film. She arrives on set on time, and prepared to work a full day. She knows her lines in and out, even the other character's lines, and knows the back story and the future of where her character is going. However, she'll give you a fresh take every time." - Ryan McDonald, director of The Last Time
"She's a joy to be around on and off set, but when it's time to role she is in her zone and the energy, focus and intensity she brings is scary and very intriguing.
She is always pushing herself, takes direction very well, loves a challenge and always brings her "A" game." - Brenden Whitney, co-star of Sorrow
